New 95 SE owner!

Just purchased a pearl white 95 SE with AT and 96K on the odometer for $6500. What a fun car! Even in AT form this feels so much faster than anything I've ever owned. Seems like a good buy, everything checked out well on the Carfax report, and the car feels solid. Unfortunately I have no idea about the service history(bought it from a dealer) and was wondering if there are any maintenance issues related to this model I should be aware of. Any other maintenance tips for a Maxima newbie would be appreciated!

Congrats!

Nice score on the Maxima! You'll definitely be happy with it as soon as you mod it little. Maximas react to mods very nicely!

Anyways, as for other maintnance tips, if you have owned a car before the same rules apply. Just be extra nice to the Maxima and she'll be nice to you back...

Good luck and have fun man.

congrats on your purchase!!

a Max with a 100k miles is jus being broken in

if you are worried about the history of the car... get the 90K service done on the car (better yet do it yourself and save the $600)

starters on Maxs can go bad, alternators... crap like that inspect the CV boots for tears blah blah... i bet your car is probably ok though... most Max's are relatively bullet proof

I have a 95 since new. There have been issued with the O2 sensors (I replaced one) and some say there were issued with starters and fuel injectors. I have not experienced any of these issues. Got 112K and still have the original brakes and clutch. All I do is change the oil and reoil my K&N cone air filter. Enjoy...
