One Kill, One Loss

Well I've only been driving stick for a few weeks now, but I had my first couple races with my max.

First I raced my friends automatic 3 series, i believe it's a 2000. He pulled ahead a little bit off the line, but he wasn't ahead for long. By the time I shifted into second I was already a little ahead of him and I was probably 1 1/2 to 2 car lengths ahead of him when he slowed down cause I guess he got scared or something .. I think I was at like 97 mph then.

My loss came to a third gen Rx-7. It looked to be a 95. The guy was nice and I figured I would probably lose but there's no sense in not trying. We started from a stop light and he pulled ahead pretty quicky by a few car lengths. He never pulled really far away, but he always had a pretty good distance on me and it was a clear victory for him. His car was pretty loud too .. don't know if the rotary engines are already that loud or if he had modded it up.

Oh yea .. I dogged my friends slightly modded civic too but that was a waste of gas and I'm not sure if it's worth posting

nice...its good to actually get out and race, as opposed to asking "could i beat this?"

unless it's a obvious as$ whoopin, a few people were chillin in a empty lot last nite, and a 95-97 Saleen pulls in and says "any one here wanna get their as$ handed to them, cause i hate imports!" the supercharger was hissin away, no one had the *****, he told us he was runnin high 11's. so i had no chance (of course)

At what point do you stop streetracing?
There is this guy I read about had a new 2002 WS6 or something like that and he had the money so he put internals and a 175 shot in it.
I mean with a 11 sec car would you go to a parking lot and pick a challenge with some imports. hhhhmmmmmmm......
I think that is why I would never buy a V8.
I love the challenge.

Good kills DFord.
