goin through semi deep puddles

i never had this happen with any other car ive had. my gf lives at the end of a dead end and the drains usually back up, and with that happening there is usually a semi deep puddle at the end. its not that deep but its enough to splash the entire side. when i go through the puddle and after pulling out of it there is usually a loud soquealing noise that goes away, but its really annoying. it sounds like the power stearing is out of liquid or burnt out. as anyone else experienced this. let me now. thx

It's your accessory drive belts momentarily slipping. The crankshaft pulley is close to the ground next to the passenger front wheel. The engine splash guard does not protect the pulley from big splashes from deep puddles.
