I need some Nitrous advice

Okay everyone here is the deal right now im running a Zex kit with the zex two step colder spark plugs on a 55 shot....the last track day of the season is coming up in like 3 weeks and i really want to squeeze to see the difference in gains...unfortunatley i dont think ill have the money to pick up the egt guage, fuel pressure guage fuel pump etc by the track meet...so my question is this i will NEVER change from a 55 shot i just wanted a little extra push to get me down the line faster all i have right now is a a/f ratio guage is this enough...really im just looking for reassurance on running a 55 shot without all the other accesories just an a/f guage colder spark plugs. what do you guys think is it safe to squeeze such a small shot like this with just an a/f????

Oh and i did use the search function and they said its okay to run blind i just need an extra pat on the back saying its okay ...

Just spray........it will be fine probably up to 65 shot....75 you might want that upgraded pump...maybe. Depends on how new your car or existing pump is.

If your that worried take it out and do a 1st,2nd,3rd gear spray......somewhere where you can shut down and coast to a stop. Pull your plugs one at a time and check them for signs.....read that one n20 faq.......sx7r wrote it......extremely good info.

Judging from the gauges I use, you have seen them, the margin of difference is not too much to worry about and I have gone thru a few bottles without incident...you should be fine but maybe we can hook up before you run and I can share some 411 with you...

Don't be sssssscccared, spray. At 55 shot, you won't have any major problems. The main thing to remember about nitrous is more fuel and no knocking (in a nutshell). You have 2 steps colder (to help with no knocking), run either race fuel or premium + octane booster and you will be fine. Only engage at WOT and you should have enough fuel to keep it from leaning out.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Re: Re: I need some Nitrous advice

I agree 100% The easiest way to learn is through experience. With a 55shot, your chances of killing your car low. Make sure you use a high octane fuel not only to assist in preventing knocking, but your Max will run stronger on the bottle.
