How long does it take you guys to get your bottle filled?
The reason I ask is because where I live (suburb of DC), there is only one place close that does refills. The next closest place would require me to jump on the beltway and hop into Maryland. Anyway, it's a domestic shop specializing in Chevy's that has been in business since the 80's and it's run by a guy who's very knowledgeable but slow and gross.
Should it take 20 minutes from the time I give him the bottle till the time I leave to get a refill?
To make matters worse today he had the flu or something and farted like three times. They weren't nice, sweet ones either. They were stinky growlers. I left disgusted and dipped my hands in the snow before I touched my car.

Depends on the shop...
I go to a machine shop, and filling bottles isn't exactly a real money maker for them, so they'll get to you when they can.
Also depends on other factors. IE - if they have to switch the source bottles and purge the system, it will take a while.

I'm lucky I have mine picked up and delivered and get it overfilled by a 1-1/2lbs as well. Not sure how long its going to last though.
Cost $33.
In hot humid weather it takes a lot longer but 15 or 20 mins is normal.

I like going to Altered Atmosphere or Speed Unlimited. Both places can get me in and out in about 15 mins. Both are a hike for me, about 45 mins worth of drive. Speed Unlimited opens pretty late so I would hop on the beltway after the traffic dies.

It should only take a few minutes (10-15) if the bottle is not hot.
HINT: The old timers probably know this already. If the bottle is cold, the N2O will transfer faster and you can overfill a little. If the bottle is hot, forget it. It will take longer and you will never get a "full" bottle. Disconnect the bottle on the way there and try to cool it down if you can. Better yet, take it out of the car all together the night before. Put it outside, then get it filled.
My shop puts mine in a big freezer in the summertime.
