I have a '95 maxima gxe, auto, and I am looking into nitrous kits. I am looking to run a 50-70 shot and I want to know if I NEED anything else done to the tranny or engine to accomodate the increased power. I am aware of the switches and all that for the NOS. I just want to know if there has to be any tranny mods or coolers or anything that has to be done as well. Thanks a lot,

I just bought one of those. My plan is to install a B&M Trans cooler and do the drop resistor mod.

That will hold a 50-70 shot pretty easy.

Because I like the Wet setup and don't see any real advantage to running DPI up to a 125-150 shot. It seems to work just fine as is.

I do hope to run a bit quicker this year with the 95 I bought. Not because its a 95 but I will be doing some major weight reduction and also doing some other nitrous/fuel mods as well.

but can I run the nitrous w/o a trans cooler? The nitrous will rarely be used, and the shot isnt very big. Am I ok w/ the stock trans and no cooler?

A trans cooler is a good idea even if you are N/A. They are also pretty cheap, ie around $50 for a good B&M.

Sure you can run without it, would I? No.

If you buy the B&M kit it will come with hose, clamps etc. Some people claim the hose is not long enough but mine was fine, measure and make sure before you take it apart.
