Question on prices....

If I wanted to buy just the NX solenoids, the nozzle and the SS lines (except for main feed line) as well as the WOT switch and the FPSS ......how much would I be looking at?

Definitely less than http://www.nitrousexpress.com

I had a hard time trying to find miscellaneous pieces through the web (needed different nozzles and an 8ft main feed line).

Aaron:

If you can get me alist of part numbers, I will check to see what kind of pricing I can get through my distributor. Up to this point, I have been able to get items well below advertised pricing.

With that being said, some vendors give the stuff away on ebay but I can't imagine thay make any money doing that.

PM or email me with any questions and I may be able to help you out.

Ok ill see if i can drag up the part #'s

Basically I have a ZEX kit. I can keep the Bottle, Main Feed Line and the Arming Switch. Every thing else I need to change. Well...the NX stuff will work that is.

I guess the Nitrous Solenoid, Fuel Solenoid, the small SS lines, the fogger...the WOT switch and the FPSS.

I think I have the p/n's at home. Ill email ya.

Aaron it might be easier and cheaper to buy the NX kit and sell the Zex, most times buying in parts is much more expensive than buying the entire kit.

Especially when Dave can cut you a deal.

True........i'm just looking at options now. ZEX is fine...I just think the NX kit is even safer.

I have seen a few people *coughdonkeycough* get good deals on nitrous stuff on Ebay. I tried it that way but found myself being way too impatient.

How much would it be to convert a NOS dry to NOS/NX Wet kit? I haven't even fully insalled my dry kit, but there aren't that many components that are different. I can see the appeal in having a wet kit, but I already have a 5124.

Here's the parts that I can see I need:

Fuel Tee
Fuel Line
Fuel Solenoid
Shark Nozzle

-4 (28 in) SS Braided Red
Manufacturer:
Part#: 11135
Retail Price: $37.00

SHARK/PRO-SHARK/SUPER SHARK NOZZLE
Manufacturer:
Part#: 90016
Retail Price: $67.76 (click 'Buy Now' for dealer price)

Gasoline Soleniod Stage One
Manufacturer:
Part#: 15101
Retail Price: $122.00 (click 'Buy Now' for dealer price)

Import Fuel Tee
Manufacturer:
Part#: 15235
Retail Price: $11.00 (click 'Buy Now' for dealer price)
(the fuel tee should really be 5/16", but I couldn't find a listing for that on the NX website)

The NOS 5124 has 2 nitrous solenoids, so I was wondering if anyone knows what the difference between the NOS nitrous and NOS fuel solenoids is? Unless the internal design is different it seems like a 5124 wouldn't even need a new solenoid. One solenoid could be used for fuel; the other for the nitrous.

On the NX kits, the fuel solenoid is shaped differently though

However, the dynotune.org solenoids look like the NOS solenoids (fuel looks like nitrous)

So, if in fact both NOS solenoids will work for a wet kit, the only conversion parts necessary are the fuel tee, SS line, and the shark nozzle.

The above fuel tee won't be needed. The teee they supply in the kits will not work with our cars. Most people here have been "creating" their own teee with fittings from a local hardware store.

I would call NX tech support to find out about what all is needed.

I tee'ed my fuel line using instructions someone on the .org posted. I bought three 1/8" tees, 2 1/8" male to male connectors and 2 1/8" to 5/16" barbs.

Heck of a lot cheaper than getting performance fittings...
