most systems that people use are wired with a WOT switch and then an activation switch... you activate the system, hit WOT, and spray comes out... simple enough

Those cute red buttons are the way nitrous was activated in the "olden days." But like everything else, technology evolves and more engine-friendly methods have come about. WOT switch is one of them. However, many people used to do a WOT switch by placing the activation button underneath the gas pedal so that when you floored it you would hit it. Many people still use a button on dual-stage set-ups.

So yes, WOT is safe. You really don't want to spray nitrous anytime else.

I use the WOT switch in conjunction with a push button switch. The push button switch will not work unless the WOT switch is also tripped. This is good because I'd like to make sure that my auto tranny has downshifted to it lowest possible gear before I spray. Of course, neither the WOT switch nor the push button switch will work if my system activation switch isn't on.

My system will only activate if my window switch, WOT switch, arming switch, and FPSS are activated I'm going to add a momentary switch for traction purposes though. Do you guys have any pictures of your momentary switch? I can't find any that I really like.

I have the one made by NOS..but it's nothing special...it's just a little blue button at the end of a black cord. You can get one at summitracing.com or jegs.com

Oh yeah I forgot to mention, my arming switch is a key....i can simply remove it, just in case valet or nissan service ppl are tempted to try out the nitrous...hehe
