tried the 100 shot, need help with fuel pressure
Hey guys, well I tried the 100 shot.. All i gotta say is that it F*CKING PULLS! =]
I went down a hill and all i can say is omg.
But I was on a flat street and I got some wheel hop and the pressure fell tremendously to about 40 psi for about half a second during the wheelhop and then it bumped back up for 48 at wot.
I lost all power on the car right then and was sh!tting bricks. Turned it off and On again and It was fine..
Anyonw know why it possibly dropped to trmemdously when I hit the switch?

ya
thanks
I think it was something to do with either the wheelhop, or the sudden tweak to the fuel pump that more fuel was needed...The fuel bumped right back to where it should be and held there nice and strong.
I think i see a 125 shot commming
thanks

1. Is that the first shot you have tried? If so drop down to a smaller shot and see if the fuel pressure reacts the same.
2. Have you upgraded your fuel pump, the 100 may be a bit too much for it?
3. As CBass said maybe the FP safety switch shut it off.
4. Regardless drop down to a smaller shot ie 35 or 50 and make sure all is well and move up slowly.
5. Don't take your eyes off of that FP gauge if its doing that, the results are expensive.
6. You could always rig up a test setup like I did and just manually hook up the fuel solenoid and run it through the jet (requires removing the nozzle) into a bucket and confirm the pump will handle the higher shot. Also try the 150 fuel jet if you have one to confirm capacity is adequate.
Also not sure how you get your FPR to go the WOT operation on the 2k2 because its not like the 4th gens where its on the rail but you need to have that in WOT operation when you test the fuel pressure too.
