Purging question

I don't know much about nitrous but what causes the purge valve to go off. is it a button or what? do you have to run the nirtous through your engine to make nitrous spray out of the purge valve?
thanks

Brandon

The purge valve is just another solenoid like your nitrous solenoid. Yes, it's button-activated. Instead of directing whatever nitrous/air you have in your line pass to your motor, it directs it to the outside.

just so you know...the wiring is straight forward as it comes...one wire ground the other switch button activated power...does not matter which one as long as you protect with tape and keep clean.

Does anyone here know what type of a clear or black hose I can use that is flexible and will withstand the cold temps of purging? I would like to route the lines in such a way that my car would purge out of the grill like a bull.

I have just used that small plastic clear plastic hose you can get in a plumbing store with no problems, I am sure the clear gas line would work too. There is really not much pressure because it is open to atmosphere on the other end.

I use a flexible copper line, bends and stuff pretty easily.

I used the small flexible white tubing from home deot, works perfectly and it's cheap. My purge comes directly out of the hole in my nissan emblem in the front grill, its great to just hose people with it when they aren't looking. I will see if I can find a pic for you.

Nice,I been thinking of this idea- since I dont use my wiper blades, im going to drill a hole out the sprayer nozzles and rig the purge to spray out of both of those.

havent gone out to work on it since the purge is still comming in the mail but I was thinking of drilling out that piece that has the 2 nozzles in it and route a tubing out and have it purge straight up both of the sprayers. I dunno if it will work but Ill find out

Use a copper line. You can get this at a local automotive store.

Just make sure it purges away from the vehicle.
