quick ? for those with NOS Bottle Heater

what wire is positive and which is negative? i got this with the bottle when i bought it all used and i don't have the wiring instructions. thanks...

neither wire has a stripe on it to signify which one it could be.. which one is which?

There is no positive or negative. The heater is basically a big resistor that disipates heat when power is applied. Same principle as a solenoid. Hook either wire to ground and the other to + it makes no difference.

Jime, do you use the thermostats on the blanket? I can't seem to keep mine in place, they keep falling out of the blanket

Mine is NX and its pressure controlled not temp, but I don't use it either, I manually control it by turning it on and off.

Jime, on a dry kit, the TEE you have to hook up... mind helping me with the way it's supposed to be setup? do i understand correctly that one side of the T is connected to the solenoid part, the opposite side of the T goes to the fpr, and the t-side of the T is connected to the vacuum line that was originally going to the fpr?

You are taxing my memory I haven't played with a dry kit for over a year. I would have to look at the drawing again and I haven't been able to find one online.

That's correct. The line from the nitrous pressure regulator (blue anodized thing) and the line to the FPR face each other. The vacuum line goes on the perpendicular portion of the tee.

thanks, that's what i'd assumed it was, but the instructions had some label for one of the lines that didn't exactly fit right. thanks!!
