I read about how Jamie was saying that NX is better then NOS because u get what u expect in HP ratings...is ZEX like that too...was he talking about the DPI kits or just the ones u plug into your intakes?

 

NX does advertise to be within 2% of their rated HP, but thats not the reason I would buy it.

Zex is a dry kit same as NOS, it does have a little more sophisticated electronic package but it still raises the fuel pressure and puts the extra fuel necessary for the nitrous through the stock injectors.

Thats the main reason I like NX because they just use stock fuel pressure (much easier on the pump) to supply the fuel through the same nozzle as the nitrous. Its also much easier because there is no tuning involved because each set of nitrous and fuel jets are matched and no adjustments are necessary.

There is just much more to go wrong when you start bumping up your fuel pressure way past their designed limits and I like the KISS method of everything. Keep it simple stupid. (KISS) it matches my personality.

 

I understand now.... I just wanted to know cuz this guy was going to sell me a slightly used NOS kit with nitrous pressure gauge for 340 shiped, to bad there isent many good deals going on with the NX kit, or group deals..

 

I have seen a couple of deals for around the $450 mark, just keep looking you won't be disapointed with NX. How is that for a prejudiced statement?

Simply supporting NX is one thing, but you give vaild reasons for getting a NX wet kit. I researched long and hard about all the kits before I bought mine, and if I was only going to run nitrous I would have bought a NX kit. I bought my NOS kit to leave room in the future to spray with boost, and my Walbro pump and SAFC2 are 2 more steps towards being prepared

I think one of the most important questions are how much are you going to spray, how often are you going to spray, and where do you eventually want to end up.

bought this off my bro...looks like 300ZX NA has too high of a compression ratio--10.5 to 1, thus unsafe for nitrous. (besides, just b/c it has two throttle bodies, the smallest shot it can spray with NX is 70 shot. 35 x 2 = 70.

 

You do know our compression is still 10:1 right?

Yes that is a good price and I enjoy the hell out of my ZEX..

if even only at a 35 shot for now...I rana 55 shot prior to the SC...and it made a huge diff.
