2002 nitrous help

I have heard many conflicting reports of the correct spark plugs to use on my 2002 maxima with 3.5L. with a 75shot of nitrous. Stock it comes with platium tip plugs, which i was told that i can't use because they break apart. I been to many part stores to find copper tip plugs, which of course nobody has, there are plenty of plugs for the 2001 3.0L but none for my year. Any further help would be much appreciated.

Any other info on how to run nitrous safely in my car, like the best place to install the fuel line(wet kit) to my factor fuel system or other tuning tips would be great. Thanks

they dont make a copper plug for that year, the reach of the plug is different between the vq30 and vq35 plugs

Thats what I made this for, I wish someone would sticky it. They do make a copper and an Iridium for the 3.5 which will work well for nitrous too according to the experts. I haven't tried them yet.

Yes

They are more expensive than the copper plugs for the 4th Gen though. BKR6ES plugs are $2.00 and the LFR6A's are $4.92 from Club Plug who stocks them.

will I need to gap them? I hate being so clueless and feeling like such a n00b at this stuff.

I have found the limit of the OE plugs to be at a 150-175 shot. PLFR5A-11
You don't HAVE to change them with a 75 shot. I wouldn't say it is a necessity till after a 100 shot. Before that it's merely optional. However the cost of the copper plugs make them attractive compared to the platinum plugs anyway.

If they are -11's they are 1.1 mm or .044" so yes you would want to gap them to around .035".

I don't know of anywhere else that sells them I usually buy 2 or 3 boxes at a time because I change them 3 or 4 times a season when I am racing.
