i am getting the nx wet kit am wondering what gauges are best for my auto tranny car. i was thinking the following.

egt
fuel presure - will this be necessary with a wet kit?
tranny temp

thanks to everyone that is going to help

I would replace the A/F with a nitrous pressure and you are good to roll.

EGT, FP and Nitrous Pressure. Go electrical with the nitrous pressure. It will just make it easier to run everything. I am running a mechanical Nitrous gauge in my glove box and it adds a lot of line to your set up.

i do not see the reason for running a nitrous presure, i was going to put on on the bottle though

If the bottle pressure gets to high you will run lean.

A bottle mounted nitrous pressure gauge is better than none. The in cabin gauge is more for convenience although highly recommended by many. Like CBass69187 said,

this is true. Higher bottle pressure means more nitrous is being injected. More nitrous means more air in the combustion chambers. More air than fuel = lean, more or less. So what ol' boy was tryin to say is a nitrous gauge will serve you better than an a/f. And your EGT will let you know if you're running lean but how can you regulate having a higher shot of nitrous when your fuel tee is set for something else??

Someone correct me if that doesn't make any sense please...

"regulate having a higher shot of nitrous when your fuel tee is set for something else?? " i dont understand that part
i thought that when the eegt gets too hot it means i am running lean, i was no thinking of just running a tranny temp and a egt, with nitrous presure on the bottle

Wet kits have a nitrous and fuel jet for each HP shot. The fuel is fed at stock WOT pressure which is 43 psi (4th Gen) so the fuel volume is constant. The nitrous volume is also constant if the bottle is at the recommended pressure. (approx 1000 psi) If you don't have a bottle heater and corresponding pressure regulator your nitrous pressure could be anywhere from approx 650 psi to 1500 psi depending on the temp of the bottle.

Anything less than 1000 psi and your system will run rich and anything higher and your system will run lean. + or - 50-100 psi won't make much difference but any more and you are at risk it the pressure is high.

No, the gauge will just confirm that the bottle heater/pressure regulator is working properly.

Run EGT, FP, Nitrous Pressure. Is there a reason why you are so hung up on the Tranny Temp? Yes that is something that is nice to have but not "fully" needed.

You will need a gauge to tell you what the pressure of the bottle is.

Get a bottle heater so it keeps your bottle pressure at the proper bottle psi w/ heat. Once the bottle has reached its certain temp, the bottle heater will shut off.

Just remember, the more heat, the higher the bottle pressure.

If he wants a tranny temp, I would get it because it is a good thing to keep an eye on. I wouldn't put it on the A-pillar however. Maybe in the glovebox or ash tray thing.
