purge inside engine bay for cooling?

well this is just an idea bc in NY in the summer and even in spring it gets hot over here and i was wondering if i reroute my purge into the engine bay onto the intake manifold would it be dangerous at all.... i know the purpose of the purge is to verify that liquid no2 is being released any ideas?

Wouldn't you suck all that No2 back into your intake if you have an open filter?

It will be a waste IMHO. You will get better result letting the engine suck those nitrous into cylinders.

skandalouz: well i dont know about the freeze affect problem bc i would have the purge aimed at the intake manifold(mevi,,near the bottom of the runners)

1max2nv: yeah im talking about just the purge while im staging not to hold it there and freeze everything,,, like purging the same amount of time as u would normally (half-full second ) instead of purging into open air u know what i mean..

Nismo: i wont be purging that much esp if i have full bottle pressure but i understand what u mean, what i could do is aim it in the opposite direction so that when sprayed it will travel towards passangers side.

does any one know if there is a rule about where a purge must exit the car at the track?

I dont think it matters at the track, just dont purge inside youre car I guess.

Im thinking if you purge on your engine block, wouldnt the sudded cold stress the metals and might create fractures? its like heating a glass cup on the stove then throwing it in a bucket of water, it will shatter.

Dont purge on your engine. If you have a turbo, you could spray it on the intercooler for some added help, but I'd purge outside the car. It's way too cold to spray onto a hot engine block.

And think about where your're nitrous nozzle sprays...after the MAFS, so it doesnt screw it up. You dont want nitrous being sucked in through the filter and past the MAFS.
