what is purge valve/kit, FPR, EGT, and EFI? what does it do?
okie as i am reading through all these threads in the nitrous forum, i have some problem with all the terms, can someone quickly explain the follow items and its function in nitrous application?
1. purge valve, or purge kit
2. fuel pump regular (what does it do?)
3. EGT
4. EFI
5. the function of bottle heater and pressure. is it necessary to have it for a simple NOS dry kit?
thx!

1. releases condensation and "old" n2o from the system. For a fresh shot of juice.
2. FPR I think you mean fuel pressure regulator: Regulates, controls, sustains fuel pressure to the rails, injectors.
3. EGT: Exhaust gas temperature : This is useful to monitor how rich/lean your air/fuel mixture is.
4. come on buddy!!! electronic fuel injection
5. bottle heater is used to maintain optimal pressure. Different companies reccomend different "optimal pressure" anywhere from 800psi-1000psi. The hotter the bottle, the higher the pressure. and vice versa. With a dry NOS kit that is more important being that optimal fuel pressure during nitrous activation is contingent on bottle pressure. It's not "neccessary" but HIGHLY reccomended.
