New to Nos, any advice

Ok, so today went to the track, (i'm a 95 automatic) I recently installed my ws y-pipes and Ur UDP, I hit 16.1 stock, and today was even worse, my best time was 16.3 with mods, well anyhow everyone had a bad run this weekend so it blowed big time, (I know am in the 15's now) but I bumped into my mechanic, and he told me if I want to see low numbers (I want to hit 14's all motor) to go with NOS, and that my car's engine is very capable of handling it. I asked how much, he said a 100 shot will work wonderfully.... Will it? (your opinion.) Him and his sidekick mechanic told me they've done things to this and that, and there are lots of tricks that can be done to our car. Any how they told me to go with the NX Express Race Line version, (how much is it, where can I buy it for my car) and also to get colder sparkplugs and to go with wet system. What do you guys think/recommend, and what are your experience with Nitrous??? I use to think that bottles are for babys, but if this can make people go in aw, then Im for it. Thanks

A 100 shot of NOS for someone new to nitrous is much. I'd start off with mabe a 50 or 75 so you can get the feel for it. The motor can handle 100 shot of nitrous but you have to upgrade your fuel pump if you want to run that high of a shot. The stock fuel pump can handle up to a 75 shot wet and i believe a 60 dry. Also since you have an auto i'd get a tranny cooler if you dont already have one. I ran a low 14 at the edinburg track with a 75 shot on street tires. I had a NOS brand wet system and its fairly simple to install. Now i'm using a 60 shot dry and i feel the car move but not like it did with the 75 shot. If i were you i'd go to someone who installs nitrous on imports since most mechanics in the valley mainly work on domestics and very very few know what there doing when they work on imports. I know i had trouble trying to find someone in the Mcallen and Harlingen area that would help me install my first nitrous kit because they did not like messing with my car or they wanted to charge an arm and a leg.

Yeah, well my mechanic is Robert K. and George from KRUGER IMPORTS, there from Brownsville and there the only people I know that do Lotus, Porsche, Hondas, they hooked up Davids car, with nos and all the tuning, he was hitting high 12's and low 13's with a 175shot of nos, I will get more info on doing this, I just wanna a badass time, on the quarter mile. Oh is it possible to have a ECU upgrade with the NOS????

Having a 95 Max, there is a performance computer upgrade that is specifically designed for a nitrous system. It is the Jim Wolf Technology computer. I believe he has a nitrous kit designed to go with it.
