First time at Track with Nitrous, Help
I plan on going to the track tomorrow for the first time with my nitrous. I was wondering if maybe some people could give me some pointers. I have a 2002 auto and my n20 is on a switch so i can push it when i want to use it. I'm going to using my stock potenzas. When should i use it, i.e. what rpm, gear, etc. Is there any harm in using it in first? i have a tranny cooler and drop resistor also. thanks in advance.

I you are using street tires I suggest waiting unil after the 1-2 shift, it comes up pretty quick.
If you have a cooler and DR Mod leave it in D and spray right from the 1-2 shift till you cross the line. Thats how I do it except I spray right out of the hole with slicks.

yeah that sounds good, thanks Jime. The only thing is that it is only an 1/8 mile track so im not sure how long ill be able to use the nitrous, to get the full effect of it. but i trust what you say though. is that how you did it with your 4th gen when you were on street tires?

1/8 is pretty short but I think you are going to break loose if you hit it anywhere in 1st. I really don't know of anything else to tell you.
I only tried street tires once and that was only to compare them to DR's to Slicks.
Not sure what the exact numbers were now for the street tires but the DR's got 13.9 and the slicks 13.2, I believe the street tires were around 15.1 but they burnt pretty bad because I hit it right out of the hole so not a fair comparison. I never really took any time to experiment.
