New G-Tech computer from Escort....

This is one cool little toy. I have been practicing my launches getting ready for the track on the 7th (best is 2.27 60ft). I finally had a decent straight shot to play with today, and took it up to 70MPH in just under 8 seconds with the 35 shot. I plan on swapping the jet for the 60 shot now that I am satisfied I did the install properly. I still need to hook up the bottle heater because my pressure is pretty low. The bottle guage is only reading 650 psi. Probably due to the 30 degree temps out here now. I need to take the car to the dump and weigh it so this meter can calculate the horsepower properly. I just scored a Greddy cat back system today, and I will get that on when I do my Mobiltek VB next week. I hope to see some of you at the MIR meet in MD. www.Escortradar.com

You didn't have to weigh it at the dump. Just look at the weight on your door. Subtract 900 pounds(5 - 180 pound people) then add whatever you weigh, then estimate about how much weight you have in the car. I got one so I can keep track of new times and hp after adding mods.

At least until I go to a real dyno.

nice gl with the up-grade...maybe consider a bottle heater to keep the N20 at a nice 1000psi ull like it alot more.

Yup...Bottle heater is a must. Wow, I couldn't believe how much of a difference it made between 650psi, and 1100psi. I was able to make 3 runs with the G-timer and the times were almost identical to the trap times. all runs were within .06 of the official times. After looking back over the runs, I am down to 5.3 0-60. I haven't changed the weight that I have set up in the timer, but at 3700 lbs (Estimated) the timer said I was pushing as much as 259 peak HP at around 68 MPH. It is definitely a shock to see that reading as I was expecting to see 230 or something. I am now starting to play around with the cornering peak hold G-force meter on it. I have pulled as much as a .86G turn on the on ramp to Rt 50 by my house.
