shifting while spraying

i was wondering if all you 5spd guys out there shift while spraying like with the WOT switch, shift quick into second while waiting for traction because it sprays too.
has anyone ran a separate button to hold to spray and to work in conjunction with the WOT switch so that you can only spray with the button while at WOT?

With wot switch it only sprays once you give full gas, so when I shift it dont spray.

Yes, you can have a button to activate the Nitrous along with a full throttle switch. I think this is actually a safer way to use nitrous. Arming switch to turn on system, WOT switch to make sure it will only come on @ WOT & button to have more control over when (YOU) want it to come on & when (YOU) want it to stop. It is still safe since (YOU) can only spray when the throttle is wide open. I'm sure you know how to wire it up?

but while you shift, dont you go WOT into 2nd gear and WOT into 3rd gear?
ive heard that does huge damage to the clutch.

Going wot while shifting is called powershifting and thats what kills the gears and tranny while also putting major stress on engine and other drivetrain components. So let go of the gas pedal when you shift.

I have a button and WOT switch, i like the button cuz i can turn off the nitrous when i am losing traction and hit it once i have locked up....and i love the WOT switch cuz i can have it armed and ready to go when racing off a roll.

Is it possible to have a setup that turns off the nitrous 500 rpm before redline? I think this would eliminate much of the stress during shifts.

Yes, you can get a progressive nitrous controller which will allow you to super fine tune your nitrous system. With the progressive nitrous controller you can pre-set when it comes on & when it goe's off. And you also can make the nitrous come on smoother & finish at the pre-determined hp setting.
Kinda the same way a supercharged or turbo cars power comes on smooth & peaks out.

You could just get a window switch and program it to turn the nitrous on and off in whatever rpm range you want it to.

This sounds like something I could use. Do you know of any specific companies that have controllers for Maximas? How much do they usually cost?
Are all window switches capable of controlling exactly when the nitrous starts and stops? If not, which ones are the better ones on the market?
