Time for nitrous

Ive made my mind up, and with the $700 or so I have I think im going to invest it all into nitrous and accessories. Right now this Is the list I have:

-NX Wet kit
-Proper gauges (Fuel pressure, A/F Ratio, etc)
-Wiring and switches for DR mod and overriding TCS

These are my current performance mods:

-Cone filter intake
-Warpspeed Ypipe
-custom 2.5" exhaust w/ Dynomax muffler

I still have warranty on my transmission (until the end of june) so I will have it replaced in june. I will probably run the DR mod full time just because the tranny will go anyways. Im auto btw.

Any precautions I should take?? Any other NEEDED parts I should get?

Bottle warmer, Bottle pressure gauge, purge kit & a progresive nitrous controller if you want it to work smoother & easier on your drive train?

I said things I NEED, bottle warmer, purge kit, and a progressive nitrous controller are not NEEDED, they are just a plus. Bottle pressure gauge im already getting if you look at my post. I will get a bottle warmer and purge kit later down the road, but for now i will start out at a 35 shot and stay there until I have the money for more stuff.

bottle warmer is pretty essential when u have nitrous.... cuz how much boost u get will depend a WHOLE LOT on ur nitrous pressure.....

That was exactly what I was going to say. A bottle warmer is a definate if you want the full effect of your 35 shot. I have a NX kit and the heater wired to my arm switch. My bottle is always open. My purge is fun but not necessary.

purge is not necessary and a progressive controller would be completely pointless on a 35 shot, even on a 50-75 shot. But, from my experience, the heater IS a must. nothing like 1000psi in the line from a cozy, warm bottle when it's 40 degrees outside

For 35 to 50 shot would it be more benificial to have an A/F or Fuel Pressure Gauge?

I have an EGT, and Niitrous Pressure Gauge already and only have one space left in my pod for an A/F or Fuel Pressure.

Obviously the fuel pressure gauge as long as it's visable from inside the car & not under the hood. The air/fuel ratio gauge is nice to have & it will tell you if your rich or lean. But if your fuel pressure drop's that's bad & with the gauge you'll know right away something's wrong....

Well, I will be running a 35 shot for awhile, so for now im just going to get a Nitrous pressure gauge and a A/F ratio gauge. Both will be electronic. This way ill have money for a bottle heater. Thing is, my interior heats up quite a bit even when its only 40 or 50 out. If the suns out it heats up fast, so should I still get a bottle heater? Its either a bottle heater or I get a purge kit.

Chase- Isaacs old kit worked great for me. If you are refering to stuff you only really need. I didnt have a bottle warmer. The nitrous could have ran better most likely, but Isaac was putting down some good times without it.
Get the NX wet kit, nitrous pressure gauge (mechanical worked great and it is a LOT cheaper) than either A/F gauge, or fuel pressure gauge, and EGT gauge. EGT is also relatively cheap.

Let me know when you get it! I would love to help with the install, maybe isaac could show up too, as it would be his third time doing it, and me and him had a blast last time we did it on my car (12 hours later i had nitrous!!!)

i dont see any nitrous writeups either, perhaps we could create one....

Yea, I will need help installing it. Friend at my work can get me the NX Wet kit brand new for a little over $300 from what he tells me. He knows some people in the area who get good deals. I'll deff need some help installing it, so Ill let you guys know when I get it. I hope its as fun as it was AEing my Headlights.

Purge would be fun too, but I have that in my plans for the future.

Also, I already have a A/F Ratio gauge and a Dual gauge pod on the way. I think im gonna save myself the money and just buy a mechanical nitrous pressure gauge and slap it on the bottle. Ill just fill that second spot on the gauge pod with a Transmission Temp gauge or something. I find something.

I know its the NX Wet kit, im guessing its the 10lb bottle kit. Ill get back to you on the price within the next week.

Heh, I wish, but its not possible. Its only a local thing, im lucky to even get a price like that, im not going to demand to have a group deal. Gotta have connections to get it at a price like this.
