NX Maximizer Kit

I wanted to know if it would work with a ZEX kit since I already installed it and don't want to rip it out and install a new kit. What would I need to replace of my Zex kit to get the Maximizer kit to work? Is there any other multistage controllers out there possibly cheaper?

doubt it, since zex doesn't use solenoids if I understand correctly. The maximizer uses a driver to pulse the fuel and n20 solenoids according to the settings you've entered via the maximizer. The driver is wired directly to each of the nx solenoids.

You could still program the maximizer but the maximizer would have no way of communicating your config to the zex system.

You could probably hook it up but I don't think Zex solenoids are designed to be pulsed and that is how the Maximizer works.

Do you have a wet kit or dry?

Here is an inside pic of the dry Zex kit. Notice the high quality. Cheap industrial gas solenoid hidden inside a pretty purple box.

Zex

I have the zex wet kit. I wanted to switch to NX since I saw on your site how much better they are. Is there a way to still use the zex bottle? Is there a little dippy switch like that comes with the Holley NOS kits to indicate open throttle to the controller? How much more wiring is involved? The zex purge kit should work with a fitting right?

New Idea

After I saw your pic, it should be pretty easy to hook up the NX solenoid to the Zex Controller right? Any body forsee any problems with that? For example, use the Zex TPS Sensor Controller to control opening of the NX Solenoids but hooking them up in the same configuration?

So Jime, for a newbe to N.O. should I go with the NX over the ZEX
ZEX has the rev limiter between 3500 and 6500 I don't know if the NX does
I don't want to upgrade fuel pump and install gauges
Lookin at like a 50 shot wet.
Thanks for your Help

Where did you hear about the 3500-6500 rev limiter? I have not seen that in any of their specs.

I still would stick to NX because I have used it for 2 years now without a glitch and they have a lifetime warranty on the solenoids.
