Installation cost

Hey all,

I'm new to the whole nitrous thing. I have read the faq's and I was going to buy this kit that nopi has on sale now. I asked around town for prices on installation and the cheapest I've gotten so far was $500. Does this seem kinda high? If there are in people that know shops in the PA area cheaper could you let me know.

Jeez 2-3 hours of labor for $500 sounds like a rip off. I would do it yourself and learn. I installed a turbo kit on my old car (2k civic). did lots of research on what to do and the tips n tricks. This should be easy compared to the 2 days i spent turbo'n my civic. BTW - I had no car expirence, im dead serious, i didnt know how to change my oil. I learned asked questions, and did it. my 2 cent. good luck.

I started my own installation, but i didn't trust myself with the wiring. I had a ton of extras to wire though, a FPSS, bottle heater, purge, electronic nitrous and fuel pressure gauges, an EGT. All that in addition to the normal relays and such. The physical install of the kit is no big deal, just make sure to use the thread sealer in the right places.

If you have the purge, heater, opener, and other electronics, it should take about 8 hours to be installed professionally.

$500 is too much. $300 would be more reasonable to both parties.

Bluebird,

Where did you get your Nitrous kit installed? How much did they charge you?

Right over the line in Ohio.

Charged $300 and the guy did an outstanding job. I think I could've done it myself, but I wasn't totally confident in my abilities.
