Got my JE nitrous ready high comp. pistons in yesterday. installing them in a machined block. and heads with 20k on rebuild. and toga HP bearings. think the factory rods will be ok. think 100 shot is a little much for daily driver. even though NOS might be just for dragway only but I say that now.

the VE uses the same rods as in the twin turbo 300zx and theyve pushed more than 600whp throught them so you should be fine just make sure you get it tuned on a wide band. even you $$$ pistons wont hold up to sever detination from running to lean

My factory motor will hold up to a 100hp shot all day..... you just have to have the right tune. And for 100 shot, i REALLY hope you're talking wet.....

the nice thing about the 5spd is when it breaks 90% of the time the cars still driveable. im on my 4th 5spd and every time it breaks i can still drive it, it just kinda sucks not having 1st gear or being stuck in 2nd or what ever and what not. but when the auto breaks your ****TTT and you dont move at all trust me i know ive blown through 2 autos in my parent villager van, i guess your not suppose to go from nutreal to drive when the engines bouncing off the rev limiter HAHAHHA

that's called a neutral drop, all you do is burn the clutches in the tranny, and a few of those can KILL your tranny fast. I would never advise for anyone to try that under any circumstances. Don't do burnouts in autos.

Dang. Your poor parents.

I guess we can only hope that you end up with a kid just like his dad. Grandchildren are a father's payback to his wayward son.

7 trannies 1 a month summer of 03' ACT clutch and banging third was a prob.
and like u said still drivable drove home 50 miles. and drove twice no clutch. towed twice once broke 3 wheel studs and thought i would play it safe and get towed after driving 45 minutes on highway. and the other stranded 1.30 hr cuz clutch pedal broke.
only paid for two rebuilds.

the bolt that bolts the top of the clutch pedal bracket to under the dash. the nut actually broke through the sheetmetal in dash and so pedal was lose and worked the welds until they snaped got it welded for free and two hrs trying to figure how i got it out I got it in and threw up a toggle bolt and 2 yrs good.
