I want to run a NX blow down tube. Should I bend it or just keep the same way and make a hole in the trunk and run it as is.

i just have a hole drilled in the floor. but it doesn't matter. you could use flexible hose instead of that bent tubing. or bend the tubing more. it's flow properties don't really matter

Well, if it doesn't flow, that might matter! Just get something that can't be kinked/crimped/blocked, and you'll be fine...

I would NOT use any flexible hose for a blow-down kit. If the safety cap blows and 3000 psi nitrous starts to flow, the flex tube will straighten right out if not properly secured, or just fail entirely. That nitrous will end up in your trunk and passenger compartment defeating the whole purpose of the kit. I just bought a Zex kit that included eveything I needed for about $35 on ebay, and it fits my NX bottle just fine. Only downside is it's purple, my bottle is black, but I don't really mind.

BTW, while I'm on the subject, anybody know what the proper torque is for installing the the new safety cap? The kit didn't come with instructions and I don't want any leaks.

I installed mine this week with some help. The NX NHRA blow off cap was tightened to 15 ft lbs. Then I had to bend the blow down tube a little bit so it will go down where my spare and there I attached a rubber hose and vented it to the outside.
