Bottle Warmer Warning?
Bottle Warmer Warning?
Anyone ever thought of trying to engineer a way that if you leave the bottle warmer on (hey shizz happens) and open the door, the buzzer sounds? Like when you leave the lights on? Might be a good lil ebay kit for someone to make some $$ on if anyone has that kind of knowhow.
+1 on the ACC. Also, that idiot that blew up his car wired his directly to the battery, it was always on, switch or no switch. He also installed 2 pressure relief caps, preventing the bottle from discharging when it overpressurized. A normal nitrous bottle, even if you accidently overheated it, would never explode. The pressure relief valve would simply break and vent the nitrous. Replace the cap, fill up, and your good to go.
in theory if u wire to battery like an idiot and leave the heater and pressure sensor on all night nothing will happen, youll just come back in the morning to a pressurized bottle in ure trunk....my friend has hisi wired like this and i tell him hes an idiot, but has a pilot switch for his warmer and a red led is lit in his face when its on....i think he does it so he can get a head start on warming his bottle up, or keeping it warmed up before he uses it while the car is off...why? no clue....

a properly functioning pressure switch = no worries
...that's why there's a pressure relief valve. Also, don't have to worry about overheating when bottle is closed if you have temp-controlled heater. Pressure-controlled units are great but the only downside I see is that you need the bottle to be open in order to function properly...if you don't spray, you waste the nitrous in the lines. Not much, just a pet peeve...
whats in the lines is so little i wouldnt worry about it and if the lines are hooked up and tightened properly there should be no leaks at all. i can leave 900psi iof nitrous in the system with the bottle off all night and still have 900psi the next day
...like I said, just a pet peeve. Say again though, you leave 900psi of pressure in your lines, close your bottle valve, go to sleep, and still have exactly 900psi when you wake up? I think I would've lost a couple hundred psi by then. Too many damn possible leak points with the bottle opener, nitrous gauge, and other crap.

I guess that makes sense. I just was looking at that repost of the blown up car last night and that question kinda lingered in my mind. LOL
