Newb Looking For Nitrous...

I have a 1996 Maxima Automatic (126K miles)

I need your guys help

Recommend me a kit thats best for me

My Mods:
Y-Pipe
Air Intake
Full Cat Back Exhaust
UDP

I basically want to leave everything stock in my engine (except for my plugs)

I read up on Nitrous, and I am leaning towards NX. I was looking to get the 75 shot, but I do not want to upgrade my fuel pump.

Dry or Wet?

NX or ZEX?

thanks

OK...I decided to go with the Wet NX Stage 1 kit....

Nitrous Express states that with this kit nothing needs to be modified...does this still apply if I decided to get a 75 shot setup?

ok, so I made the mistake of buying a buddy's used NOS kit. It's a universal dry kit, but was installed on his mustang. I know I will have to get different jets and a different fuel pressure reg. tee, but the kit only came with one solenoid. Am I missing something here?

Apart from the plugs you should be good to go. The fuel pump if in good condition should handle the 75 maybe even a 100 shot, but a fuel gauge will let you know pretty quickly. I use a mechanical gauge (approx $10) with a rubber hose under the wiper blades to watch it while testing. Just connect it into the Tee you will need to get fuel for the fuel solenoid.

I recommend the Iridum plugs, currently I am using 2 step colder and have just run my fastest N/A time of 13.4.

For plug size check the chart on my homesite.

PS Before you do the 75 though play with the 35 for a bit to make sure everything is working before you move up.

My 05124 dry NOS kit came with 2 solenoids. The only nitrous kit that I've seen that utilizes only 1 solenoid is the JWT/NOS dry kit, but you need the nitrous ECU for that.

its not required untill high amounts of nitrous is injected like 100+ (or untill detonation becomes a problem)

if you have a pre 95 max you can adjust it but if you have a 95+ max its all done in the computer

If you have a distributor then it's a lot easier to retard the timing. It costs about $400 for the whole MSD package but it retards the timing when the nitrous is spraying and there is a stronger spark. There are a lot of other features.
