50 shot to the motor and intercooler

I was wondering how much this may help my track time. Ok Im more than capable of running low 13,s now. When I get my slick Im hoping to break into high 12's. But what if i added a 50 shot to the motor and sprayed the intercooler too. what do you think it would do then with slicks. That should put me at about 400whp and my car weight like 3100lb

I read that spraying the intercooler doesn't really help that much. Just better spraying the motor itself.

Easy to tell if spraying the intercooler does anything for you - put a digital thermometer in the airstream on either side of the intercooler and measure the actual temp drop due to spray. Radio Shack makes good ones for $20-$25, and then you'll know. If you can drop 20-30 degrees through the intercooler, it's worth it.

If you make this work, you're gonna need some real meaty slicks on your '93 !

thats untrue, i saw an evo pick up 25-27 hp on the dyno. it helps out more than you would think.

I have also seen dynos and articles showing gains from just spraying the intercooler. its very logical on how it could increase hp. Now the question is: Is it worth it? i say its not because nitrous is too expensive to waste like that for only a few hp's, its better off spraying a small shot into the motor itself, your already cooling enough by spraying into the cylinders, So i suggest you just spray 35-50 shot. just make sure u have the right amount of bottle pressure.
