a v-afc question

i was wondering if after you go through and have the car tuned with an AFC, will the computer ever go back and erase your settings back to stock? just curious. thanks.

also does anyone have a wiring diagram for a V-AFCII for a 2k max?

i heard that the ECU will try to reset the vafcii signals if you are at low throttle AKA daily driving....it will try to maintain 14.7 AFR as best as possible....

but during spirited driving or WOT racing.....the vafcii signals will not be erased by the ecu...and it will convert the data into more fuel or less fuel...depending on what you inputted into the vafcii

Nope...resetting the ecu won't do **** either....even if you plug the negative from your battery, the VAFCII will not lose its settings...pretty dope huh?

wait, but I thoguht the question was if you disconnect the vafc from the car, then would the car's ecu still keep the settings. correct me if I got it the wrong way.So basically if we got it tuned well once, we wouldnt need the vafc anymore if that was true. do u know what i mean?

no, you cannot remove the AFC and still retain the settings...the AFC must be in place in order for the tune to work....

if you decide to remove the afc, then your dyno tuning will be lost....completely...the ecu will just run like stock....
