How good is the fuel fittings/lines in NX Import Kit

Alot of people seem to be complaining about small lines, small T fittings, stuff like that, what HP levels are the lines that come with the "All Import Stage 1" kit by NX good up to?

'Bout 35 hp..... Don't use it - build one with 5/16" - 1/8"NTP adapters.

Something like this:

Of course, this is for a dual-stage NX, but you get the idea. The parts are cheap and most hardware stores have it all....

Absoundlab has it right for a single-stage setup. You need one brass T-fitting with all three openings 1/8 NPT. The center opening gets a 1/8NPT-4AN fuel fitting and both ends get 5/16"-1/8NPT barbs. Cut the fuel line, insert the barbs into both pieces of fuel line. Use hose clamps to secure them. Use a little Permabond on the 4AN fuel connection and screw it into the center hole. Attach your 4AN fuel line (already connected to the fuel solenoid) to the 4AN connector. Start engine and check for leaks.

This type of setup has much bigger internal passages than the NX-supplied T-fitting, and makes for a better installation - it will flow well enough for a 100-shot, if you feel the urge.. .

So this isn't such a pain ??

I strongly suggest that you learn how to apply nitrous to your engine - and the ground. Learn to manage a 75-shot in the quarter-mile first, then come back for the answers to the questions you have afterwards.

I run a 2-stage NX wet kit - with tricks - at 150-shot total. On an automatic. See one of my photos above.

No, not yet. Hopefully this saturday if weather cooperates and i dont have baseball. I'll see if my dad will come down to the track and record the racing so you all can see how i do...

But i just got a '94 VE so that will become the track car in the next year and the nitrous will eventually get swapped to it, i hope to be running low 13's come this time next year.

They should definitely have it in stock. Did you ask somebody for help? I know they have the parts you need. There are two different aisles in the plumbling department that have T-fittings I believe. Only one aisle has the parts you want. They will be in individual baggies.

This is what I have done for a single stage nitrous setup:

The reason you see two Tfittings is b/c I have a fuel pressure gauge also. And it was much cheaper to get two T-fittings instead of a 4 way cross fitting.

Here is a pic of my setup before adding the additional T-fitting for nitrous:

I got all those parts from Lowes and Home Depot. They both have the parts needed to do this. If for some reason they are temporarily out of stock, then you can get everything you need at www.mcmaster.com.

I use this for my fuel needs.

Maximahappy, once I get my SSIM done.. we should meet up and get a race going once the track opens up. PIR will be up and running in February.

I don't know if that fuel rail adapter will work with the VE30 but you could have a shop possibly fab you up one. Basically our fuel rails have open ends that are held on with a plate and two bolts. That goes on the end of the fuel then slap on the OEM plate and there you go, you can have fuel for your nitrous. It's a very simple modification if you want to modify your stocker. Just cut a hole, have a shop weld on a AN flange and there ya' go.

Hell, I'm hoping to hit mid to low 13s with all the N/A **** I've done to this car. 12's with a 100 shot should be interesting..
