Converting a Nitrous Kit to Direct Port?

Hey guys, I was wondering if this kit Click Here can be made into a direct port nitrous system. If so what parts are still needed to make this happen?

Thanks!

What are YOU planning there ??

That kit is the basics only - and you would need five more nozzles and the fuel/nitrous distribution plumbing to create a direct port nitrous system. And a bottle heater + pressure regulation system to keep pressure normalized, along with a nitrous pressure gauge. NX Gen-X 2, I think....

Really - what do you have in mind? Is there something a direct-port system can do that a spray nozzle ahead of the TB can't do? Inquiring minds want to know.

all cylinders do not get the same amount of nitrous with 1 nozzle before the TB and with direct port the distribution of nitrous is even since there is a nozzle and jet for each cylinder

So how much in parts do you think I will still need? I have a chance to pick up the above kit for a decent price, but want to convert it to a direct port kit.

For my plans I feel that the direct port is more suited to my prefrences. I am not saying that having a single spray nozzle wouldn't accomplish the same thing though.

Plus I like how the direct port setup looks LOL

At the last Maxus 2006 meeting in Dallas last year, there was a guy from Chicago that had an installed USIM modified for direct port injection. I think he bought it from someone else, but it wasn't hooked up in Dallas - and I never heard that he did complete the installation. That's the only one I've ever seen. I might have photos of it somewhere - I took a bunch while I was there. I can't imagine how you would jet six nozzles correctly, and raising the shot-level would involve tweaking six pairs of jets!

It looks - interesting - but better than spray nozzles ??? I use two nozzles in a dual-stage NX system installation, and I sure don't have problems with unequal distribution. All my plugs are the same color.

I just came in from running the highways with a fresh bottle, and the new set of 2-steps-colder cut-ground plugs still handle the 150-shot no problem. Daymn, the second stage hits really hard now. I like it. The 6AN "Alaskan pipeline" is a winnar.

I can even picture which one you're talking about. If it's the one I'm thinking of, the manifold was polished/chromed as well. It was up for sale like forever ago and I didn't think anyone ever bought it.

I wouldn't buy that kit right there. Its going to cost you way too much to convert it into a direct port kit. And its going to be a pain in the a$$ and a huge hassel. I would recommend getting this kit right here. PN 80006EFI-10

http://www.nitrousexpress.com/Pages/80006EFI.htm

its a complete 6 cylinder kit. everything you need for the direct port kit.

also this is pretty much what it will end up looking like.

Is it possible to just drill the holes fo rhte nozzles without adding all that extra metal like in the picture above to hold the nozzles?

Ah yes, it was polished.
I remembered a Maxus thread on that subject - there are pictures:
This was started by MAXDADDY98. Maybe he has it and would sell it?

you could use the regular 90* angle nozzles in the horizontal portion of the IM, but i'm not sure how much that would hurt the flow characteristics of the IM in NA form. The way shown above is probably a bit better all around.

you'd want to go with all bottom spraying nozzles
