BlehmCo for Sale.

Yup. You heard it. Don't have the time to deal with it anymore. Business is for sale. I hate to do it, but I've got to cut back on the stress in my life.

This will be a 1-lot purchase including the BlehmCo name, all parts inventory, design blueprints, fabricator and supplier disclosures, website rights, and fabrication jigs. No tools will be included in the sale. I have approx $15,000 worth of parts inventory on hand, both finished product and raw material. I will also personally train the buyer on the application, fabrication, and installation of each and every item in my catalog- provided that said buyer comes to Houston.

no individual parts or designs for sale. All or none.

This business had $50k+ in sales the first year of operation and has grown dramatically ever since. It has turned a profit since the first quarter of operation. VERY few businesses can say this without flat out lying to you. There is the potential- with just the products currently in the catalog- for $250,000 annual sales as a conservative estimate.

Sales price will not be disclosed online, but is negotiable. I will not even bother to respond to lowball offers or people I know are wasting my time.

For anyone interested, please contact me directly at matt@mattblehm.com

The way I feel about this is that if Matt is not making products then what's the point. Good luck with the sale.

it sure does seem that this is unfortunate for the maxima community -

I own WRP Technology and we are still in our new phase of development - I may be interested in this, do you have a sales history and forecasted projections? I would like to see more information before any offer would even come to table - I will email you about this -

This is the type of response I'm expecting. I do not yet have all of the numbers in one place since I finally made the decision to post it last night, but this is an expected question and I will get those numbers to you.

But do realize with a business like this, the sales numbers will vary greatly with the owner's activity in the company. I have been essentially dormant with it for the last year and a half, but before that was putting 60+ hours per week into it. Anyway, please do email me and we'll discuss hard numbers off the board- where it belongs.

thanks for the vote of confidence. I do feel I've built quite a reputation in the Maxima community personally and with this business, but it's time to move on. There are many other Max enthusiasts out there looking for a way to get started in the world, and this would be a great opportunity for a person that's not wanting a desk job. Guys like myself, Aaron92SE, Cattman Performance, RedlineMax, Warpspeed, CustomMaxima... Some of them grew these concepts into very viable businesses. Others ran them into the ground with poor management and a few turns of bad luck. I think handing this business over to someone that's trying to get started in life and opening a 'real' shop would be better for everyone. They can take these concepts and products and run with them, producing more at better cost and getting these parts out.

Truth be told, I have hundreds of emails in my sales account that I simply haven't answered because I haven't had time. the demand is there- I just don't have time to fill it.

Although i'm saddened by your decision, i have to applaud you for the move. Providing great products is one thing, but not having the time to provide proper customer service is another... understanding how busy you are these days i'm glad you're at least trying to pass the business on to someone who can devote more time to it rather than let the legacy die down.

I'd still rather much do business with you, personally, but i'm sure you'll be able to train someone very well to step in your shoes.

Damn. . .I guess I'll have to wait for those LTB IIs I always wanted. . .

That's an FYI to potential buyers of that business. People on here KNOW what BlehmCo means to them in terms of products, service, and price. This should prove that it is definitely a worthwhile investment, and mad props to anyone who can properly fill your shoes Matt.

This is almost heartbreaking. I hope who ever buys this keeps up the same quality, innovation and service. Good luck with the sale Matt! and you should still buy my CF hood.

Matt,
Post this thread in the suspension/brakes forum as well, and I'll sticky it there for more visibility.

Matt, thanks for helping me get the group deals going... It'll be sad to see you go, as we all know what you've done for the Maxima community. Hopefully a responsible buyer will be found and keep the good name around. Good luck with the sale!

No babies in the plan- at least for a few more years.
just tired of being tied down to too many obligations.
I don't need the cash anymore either.. which is why I'm selling the business. It's worth much more to keep running than it is to sell, but I just don't have the time.

otherwise things are good down here.. finally get a day off work and it's fooking raining though.

Bump.

For those of you that have emailed me requesting information, I'll get it to you as soon as I can. Work is breathing down my neck again and I don't even have the time to sell the business so I won't have to worry about it anymore!
