Ok I got 3/16 black ABS plastic. The 1/8 seemed a bit too flimsy and the 1/4" was thick and HEAVY. It cost about $60 for a 4'x8' section and the store had it in stock. One side is glossy and smooth, and the other side is orange peely looking. I think Ill have the orange peel side up unless you all think otherwise. I had them trim it to 74" x 24". What I will do is trace my cardboard replica on the plastic, and then cut the plastic with a jig saw. Then I'll mount it to the car and shape it. I need to determine what shape and how far I want it to stick out. Ill tell you my inclinations. I'd like to keep it tapered on the sides and then stick out about 2-3 inches in front. I prefer it to go straight across the front, rather then follow the Stillen lip's indentation, like the pic of the Sentra. I also plan to shape the edge so its round and smooth.

Very nice! It's going to look awesome once installed. I'd install shiny side up but that's just me. I got e-mail back and he doesn't have any CF in that size atm. But less money spent the better it's gonna look awesome with or without the CF!

Keep up the great work Deus!

Shiny side up wont work. Color is sorta off.

Hmm if the color is off then nah WOW it's really looking like a genuine splitter! Awesome and fast work there!

I placed it under the car to see what it would look like. DAMN!! Just you all wait til this is done!!! It just needs minor grinding to smooth out the shape and then Im going to round the edge. it covers the whole underneath of the engine so it should really smooth out the air. It weighs in at 10 lbs.

Oh it will, count in it. Im really pleased with the way it looked when I retrofitted it. I plan to install this weekend and then shaping it. Im debating whether or not to get turnbuckles. If I do, Im getting black ones.

I agree, if you do get them, definitely get black ones. And the vented cf hood would top the whole front off

personally think 35lb SFC and function far better than 10lb splitter and looks, even with added 15lbs.
but i also think trimming the splitter to follow the lines of Stillen lip better. different strokes.

Damn I'd love a turbo set up. I am planning on staying NA as long as I can but with the most mods I can do - light flywheel, cams, headers, piggyback for ECU.

Well, I just happen to have an extra piece of ABS that I could easily trim down for follow the lines of the Stillen lip. I just looked too pointy. Wait til I finish with this one and let me know what you think.

I did some shaping and checked it out on the car. I am really liking the way it will look. Next step is to bolt it to the car and do the final shaping. Final step is to score some turnbuckles, paint them black, and bolt them to the splitter and the car.

I should call it the one hitta splitta!!!!

A couple of pics with splitter set in place but not bolted. Second pic shows the underneath part under the car.

I got bolts for it. Im going to use existing holes in the subframe to bolt it through the frame using 4 1/2 inch by 5/16" bolts. Im going to bolt the front to the front of the existing lip using 3/4" by 5/16"bolts with about 6 -8 inch spacing. After its bolted, Ill shape the splitter using a belt sander of varying grits until the edge is smooth. Im also going to round the edge so it looks smoother. Ill take pics along the way and then tart a new thread when its done. I need to score some turnbuckles for the front. I can add those later.

Ran into problem. Im not sure I can use the whole sheet because I cant get access to holes drill around the edge. I may need to just make splitter follow the edge and not use the whole undertray idea I had. Dammit!!

If this was true, then why is there a turbo kit for the Max?

Its obvious that the 6th Gen is turning out to be a "sports car"

Don't you think the y-pipe might get a little too hot for it if you cover the complete undertray? Or is there enough clearence that it wouldn't be an issue

They have a bit of function as well, keeping the vehicle grounded better at higher speeds.
