Not trying to be a buzzkill but now you don't have a 3rd brake light ! Looks like you gotta hit up the old junkyard again. The wiring should be underneath where the Standard 3rd brake light would sit.

Love the car and what you've done Dreamer! I have a '99 SE with 174K on it, mostly used for trips and my wife's running around. She's tired of it and I get to play a little bit. I am not as experienced or have a lot of space to work with but is there a list of 'starter' mods or maintainance steps I can use? (I've seen references to using a 300Z fuel filter for ex.)

Thanks for any help anyone can provide and thank you for your service!

HEHEHEHE! FINALLY GOT TIME TO GO TEST HER OUT!

Fitment is a little off right now. I need to unclip the ecu harness at a couple places it to let it turn up and stay hidden behind that lil shield, that should be fun! But she plugged in nicely and cranked right up, no hickups! no new cel's no loss of functions of any sort... I was only worried because its off of a 99 GLE auto instead of a 99 SE 5spd... guess it doesnt matter! YAY! back to soldering now!

WELL! It runs... but only just barely... rough idle and dies at 2500rpms... I guess I gotta go read the EU writeup again! And maybe try to find some maps. Any of you EU guys wanna give me some pointers or maps for stock 3.0? I just wanna drive it with it installed for a bit and slowly tune it until the 00vi.

Had some moron in a Toyota Tundra pulling a 20' trailer decide to make a quick left hand turn in front of me... Locked up the brakes and clipped his trailers rear corner... TOTALLY SHREDDED my fender and almost made it to the tire... front bumper, headlight, corner light, hood, and some small brackets right there are toast!

Ill post up some pics tonight of the aftermath! This damn wreck better end in my favor unlike that retarded **** girl driving uninsured... 8-| FML...

N yeah, its either me, or maxes in general! My white 97 got shot with paintballs twice, my black one got taken out after my buddy bought it, and now this! ARGH!

Ill be optimistic though since the cop was on my side and wants me to call him and keep him posted about it. Hes not sure how they could go any other way but for me!

Wow i cant belive i never seen this thread. Ive read though the whole thread. And I
must say that your taste in modding hits the spot!
I can feel some of your pain. Ive been though quite a few maxs myself.(and done similar mods that you have done to them)

Im sorry you have to deal with one of these types of situations again. Hopefully this
will be just a little road bump and you can continue to make the car look amazing!!

Good luck!

Not just yet! I'm trying to find someone who's compitent with a welder so I can cut out that small center beam at the front of the seat rails. The mounting points are quite a bit different than ours! Then me n jarrod are going to tap into the harness and make a little patch harness so it plugs right in... hopefully I can get it done soon though. Got a little money saved up right now, and if insurance doesn't screw me somehow, I may take the plunge!

Oh yeah! Forgot to say thanks PoK, you can rest assure its just a road bump. It'll take a lot more to get me off the road, and hopefully I end up getter off than before! Glad you've like my taste so far! Your actually one of the guys I watch for on posts! Lol, if something comes up with your name on it, I go look! Haha! I've got some more in store shortly! Should be bringing sexy back in a big way if everything goes as planned!

Sorry to hear about the wreck bro, but things could have been worse. A fender, a bumper, lighting, even the car itself can be replaced...you can't. Glad your ok and will be praying for you on the financial side of things.
