Installed new ignition switch
Installed new ignition switch
As some of you may know I've been having some hard start issues with my max.(And some temperamental idle issues but that's another thread) So I installed a new ignition switch today. Over the course of the remainder of the day will determine if this solves the problem. I already changed the starter a few months ago because it died. The most difficult part of this was the two back screws on the steering column and the rear screw on the actual switch itself. But nothing that's insanely hard. Just a matter of getting the right angle.
To remove the rear screws on the column I had to take off the bottom part of the dash which is only on there with 2 screws. One by the hood release and the other near the center console. Installing the switch is a piece of pie though. With that being said I will keep you guys posted as far as if this solves the problem. If not my next install will be a new fuel pump.
Good day orgers..
