NY WTB cattman/hotshot headers
Lol... Maybe threw a miracle some one has hotshot headers in there closet lol... Just don't feel like paying $1k for headers for an 03 car lol got more mods to buy lol

Btw, anybody care to explain why 04-08 headers won't fit our 02-03s?
Just to clarify.. you can't even buy obx headers right now. I had gotten to the point where I was just gonna buy them instead of holdin out for cattmans at less than there "new" retail price.. and obx for the 3.5 are all gone

Ahhh I gotcha. If im visualizing it correctly, this crossmember would only interfere with the y pipe right? So a set of 6th gen headers with a 5.5 y pipe is perhaps a possibility?
Just thinkin out loud

BTW, 4th & 5th gen crossmebers are nearly identical, just like 90% of the rest of the chassis.

No, it would require a custom y-pipe.

I'm blown away that even garbage obx's are unavailable these days for my ride. Ugh
The obx headers come in waves. They are crated from over seas and usually the down time in only a couple or rarely a few months. I went through the same thing as you. Was in contact with obx and waited a little while. It was worth the wait. Mine did not even require any customization to fit, besides having the primary o2 bung capped and a new one welded 90 degrees over on the rear bank. I've had them for 20,000 miles, over 2 years and not a single issue or check engine light. It really helps having the ports for both secondary sensors, just need to add antifoulers.
Thank you for the explanation, Danny from sparktec motorsports put my mind at ease, and explained that he usually sells out within 2 weeks each time he gets a batch, thats all.
I was at my wits end, had called at least 5 mostly cali-based speed shops and ALL that any of them would tell me was that they were out of stock!
Finally Danny, and now you, explained to me how an overseas manufacturer works hah.
Thank you for the detailed review!! Is it just me, or were the 1st generation of obx headers the only ones with those maaaajor fitment issues? Btw, you've solidly convinced me that its a good choice to go with the obxs and save around $500+ over cattmans. Thanks again!

To keep it on topic, if any of you guys see the 3.5/V2 OBXs, be sure to let everyone know. Maybe this can turn into a group buy
Hell yeah. And for an 02, there's a bit of o2 sensor bung relocating according to 92 whitemaxse.
Danny says he'll be emailing me the moment they arrive, he's got them at $350, that'd be badass if we could get even a small group buy discount!

Ive been doing a bit of reading on OBX because the mod bug just doesnt go away. It seems the 3.0 headers (V1) have major issues and are not worth the hassle, while the 3.5 headers (V2) are basically spot on, aside from having to grind down the crossmember below the engine bay. They are interchangable between 3.0 and 3.5 engines, although the V2 headers lack an EGR bung. I think the V2 headers also have "extra" O2 bungs that are for 3.5s - correct me if im wrong but arnt these extra bungs used on a cali specc 3.0?

Nice dude! I read that, and was slightly discouraged at the semi-intensive modifications required.
Was very glad to notice in the comments though that those were the old, unequal length style, generally accepted to be rather ****ty. The equal length version is supposed to be rather pain free! Woohoo! Good lord I can't wait for this email to come in.
