Hey everyone, new guy here, but love all of your pics! Beautiful cars!
I am planning to purchase a '16 (maybe a '17) SR here in the next week or two. I'm sold on the midnight edition - love those black wheels! I'm so torn on the color though - going back & forth btw white, black, and the deep blue pearl. I found a '16 midnight in white barely used w/ 1k miles for 30k. (addl 500 documentation fee + taxes, tags, etc) Otherwise, I've seen blue/black midnights w/ a few thousand miles for a couple grand more and I've seen brand new '17 for 32.5-33 (assuming financing thru dealership as rebates included in that price)
What do y'all think of that price for the white one w/ 1k miles? Will cost me about 32k total after everything.

I think you should get the white one cuz it really shows the lines and edges of the car. I may be biased because i have a white one but ya lol. The blue pearl is also a great color but it requires more car to keep that great look. But like i said i would still go for the white. Good luck and let us know what you go for
Storm Blue is underappreciated. Just saw one with BBS Lm's. Reall classy, starting to like it better than the deep blue pearl.
I agree! The Storm Blue and the Bordeaux Black both have some pretty cool "color changing" characteristics, depending on the lighting. The Storm Blue with the silver SR wheels Really, Really, Really looked awesome to me!!! Especially when the sun was shining...Wow!
I'm new to this forum but have certainly gotten allot of great information about the Maxima! Lot's of great looking vehicles here with such a diversity in taste combinations!!! Has been very helpful in helping us to decide whether or not to buy the Maxima and also which year and trim combination to get. We decided on the 2017 Bordeax Black Platinum with Medallion Package and SR wheels. Here's a coupe pics...
Question to all you owners - do these 2016s /17s come with one or two key fobs? I assumed two, but this used one I'm looking at apparently has one. Also, I had a certified inspector go do a thorough inspection for me since the car is halfway across the country....only issue (in addition to open recall) was he noticed a difference in paint on the hood and right door w/ his paint meter. He stated that cannot be seen w/ naked eye, only w/ meter. I spoke w/ the rep at the dealership and he stated it was likely done at factory during production -- stated not uncommon for things to happen at the factory and touchups needing to be done...does this sound likely to you all?
Car is almost new, 2016 SR w/ 1k miles -- everything else in the inspection was flawless, including the test drive. Thanks for any input!

I bought a used 2016 and it was supposed to come with 2 fobs. Original owner lost the main fob which had the remote start feature on it. The spare only had unlock lock and panic. I'd check which one they have. I ended up buying a oem key from ebay so i could have remote start for 50$ and had Nissan program it. buying the key from dealer was around 220$.

Ours came with 2 key fobs. They all come with two when purchased new. Having the dealership provide you with a second key fob could be part of your negotiations...
As far as the paint goes, I have seen and purchased brand new vehicles that did come from the factory with touch-ups. Some touch-ups were small painted and blended areas and some were just buffed areas where there may have been dust or debris that landed on the paint during the process. It's very common.

Kind Regards,

If I could do it again, I'd buy a Platinum with the SR wheels. Looks nice.
It a staggered wheels. the shop assured me that it won't rub. there is no issue on the front. The rears are too wide and stickin out of the fender a little so they rub. I was going to lower the car but it aint gonna happen for sure with this set up. trying to find a solution...
What is the width of your rear tires? All it would take depending on your width would be a little negative camber. There is always a solution to any issue! Lmk...
Yea I run 20x8.5 front 20x10 in the rear staggered I have a slight camber in the front/rear which gives me a nice stance lowered on Eibach's no rub what so ever. (Moving to coil overs next summer) Also I have unlimited alignments from Firestone usually have discounts running where u can catch them for 179.99. Pays for itself on the 2nd alignment. Get mine aligned in spring when I put aftermarket wheels on with camber adjustment included, and go back to stock specs in fall when factory wheels go back on. But whatever your comfortable with. This is an alternative.
Got my 2016 SR last week. Had it shipped from Texas to South Florida (got a pretty sweet deal at an auction). 8k miles. When I sit behind the wheel, I cannot help but smile.
