I grew up very near the Blue Ridge Parkway near Grandfather Mountain NC, and, although I now live in central Georgia, have had my 2016 Platinum on the Parkway several times. It is sort of fun being parked at an overlook, then having a car go by, but quickly slow and turn in at the last second, having seen a car they did not recognize sitting at the overlook. I have already had several conversations with folks who stopped simply to check out my car.
During these conversations, I pretend not to be overly proud of my car, and express surprise that Motor Week not only said the 2016 Maxima was easily the best Nissan sedan they have ever tested, and, despite CVT and FWD, also selected this Maxima as their sports sedan of the year.

I'm glad I could help. Tire pressures make a huge difference in ride comfort. I'm glad it was something that simple.
Take a tire off that's inflated to 33 psi and roll it around. It may bounce a bit because there's no weight on it, but it won't bounce around like a tire that's inflated to 44 psi.
Same concept. You can play around with front and rear tire pressures to adjust handling of the car as well. Google it. Pretty interesting.

My only mods are wheels, tires, k&n filter and a bunch of Plastidip.

So happy for you. I have followed your 8th gen crusade here for around a year, and had my fingers crossed things would someday break your way. After doing such 'due dilligence', I know you will take even more pleasure in driving your new baby. Congrats!

On a side note- anyone know how to tune to channel 0 or find the XM radio ID?

It's my car and I'll do whatever the hell I want so don't worry about my calipers. I'm good with it and that's all that matters. Besides 95% of the people out there don't know the difference and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it.

Prior to the Maxima, I had a VW Passat TDI. With VW buying back the Passat, I had to get a new car and I fell in love with my Maxima from the moment I laid eyes on it. The dealer I went to has their Nissan store right next to their VW store. I had gone in to the VW store to sign some buyback paperwork and saw my Maxima next door and knew I had to have it. I don't drive the distances I used to, so I won't mind the mpg difference as much (was averaging 45mpg with the diesel). The Maxima is a night and day difference (in a good way) and I can't stop smiling while driving it.

As you said, it's your car to do what you want with -- I couldn't care less either way but the fact of the matter is that the MGP's are amateur hour stuff. Period.
They have a self-adhering epoxy blend caliper paint made specifically for rotors. It's glossy, looks great and it lasts. That's where you want to be.
Nice work, otherwise. Car looks great, especially with that color scheme.
