Wanting to get some window tint put on the Maxima- was hoping to see some pictures of the different %'s so I can decide if it looks good enough to go below 25% (legal limit) Also how much did you pay?

 

it’s going to very difficult to judge from pictures. Mine is 20% . When it’s sunny it’s pretty visible through the windows from outside. When it’s cloudy it’s seems like 5% from outside. I paid 150 with promotion at my local tint shop.

 

Thanks for sharing! Looks great! What color interior? Did you notice a big difference in temp change when you did it? That's probably my bigger reason for wanting it darker than legal, the looks are a second hand consideration.

 

It’s black on black with leather interior so it gets very very hot even with tinting.. If you’re concerned about the heat. Ask tint shop about ceramic film. It’s about 100 extra bucks for the tint.

Cooler should be secondary to visibility. I have had darker than legal, it is dangerous and foolish.

Whatever you do, stay away from the 99 dollar tint. It will turn purple.

Just had my windows tinted, never had tint compliment a car so well. 25% front 15% rear

 

 

 

20% all around with a sun strip. only had to pay for the sun strip ($40) because i told the dealer i didn't like the color of the interior so they said if i bought the car they would give me free tinting

 

Anyone in the Queens/LI area have a good shop that'll tint and wrap the roof pillars on an SL?

 

 

here in nyc the legal limit is 35% but the nypd are pretty kool leo's. When they pull me over (2 x's a month) show respect and comply as i know i'm in the wrong by having 20% tint they will not even give you a warning they will just thank you and leave you alone. Now you decide to be a **** and start the "why you pulling me over" nonsense guess what? $120 fine per window ouch! That's 5 windows.

 

Here in N.C. we can only have 35% on cars (trucks and SUVs are 35 front and whatever behind the driver). So the 'combined' factory and aftermarket is about 32% on my wife's Maxima. Front windscreen is 90% full coverage. My wife says that she can tell a big difference when she gets in the car after sitting in the sun. Got the ceramic film, locally to Charlotte was about $350 total.

I also had clear paint protection ( DigiCut's High Definition Extreme ) added to hood, front fender, mirrors, front roof, door handle cups, front pillars, and around the front and back wheel wells. The paint protection is amazing. It can be written on with a sharpie and it will wipe right off. It is hard to tell it is even installed.

 

No pics.. but have Suntek ceramic 5% 0n all the glass... Very dark and keeps interior cool..

 

 

 

I know my reply is a bit late, but I've got some window tint on my ride and I'd be happy to share some pics with you. I went for a 20% tint, just a smidge below the legal limit, and I think it looks awesome. Gives a nice balance of privacy and style. As for the cost, I paid around $200 for the tint job. It's definitely worth the investment in my opinion. By the way, I recently purchased some window shades for baby, and they've been a game-changer. Not only do they add extra protection from the sun's glare and UV rays, but they also keep the car cooler. Plus, they're super easy to install and remove. It's a great way to ensure my baby's comfort and safety during our rides.

5% tint. Bad decision for night time visibility, may have it removed and go up to a lighter tint. I do love that your can't see into the car at all unless there is a light on.

Not sure what tint I have I actually just bought this beauty…. Really happy with it 2016 maxima sr black interior black exterior came with every bell and whistle Nissan offers I believe the first owner bought it off Nissan website and added everything… 62k miles back to the tint the min tx legal limit is 25% on front windows as dark as you want everywhere else….. my biggest question to everyone else is without a sun allergy prescription from a doctor how do yal pass inspection with tint so dark. When you get inspected here they always check your tint with tint detector


My two beauties. The truck has 25 front 5 percent everywhere else and 5 percent top brow. Not sure what the maxima has as I just got it.
