When Mardigrasmax pulled my pulley we didnt use a pulley puller it slid right off. I did see him use some type of antiseize prior to installing the 3.25 pulley on my blower.

It was in their newer catalog but I can't find it on their website... it had 3 arms and a 'cage' to coordinated the arms. Nice but unnecessary from the feedback here.

My stock pulley came off easily and so I didn't require a pulley puller.

Unfortunately the Home Depot gutter guard isn't big enough to do the entire 5th gen grill, however, if you leave those horizontal slats in you can use the mesh to fill in the spaces.

If they are sorta siezed on I just use a rubber mallet and hit it as I pry the pulley up.
Ok, I'm guessing its the peg that has the white warning sticker on it? What can I use to make it so that it wont rub against the belt? Maybe Matt (MardiGrasMax) could shave it down for me if I ask him?

Ok, I bought a dremel and got to work. I was able to shave down one of the peg in less than 10 minutes. I'm gonna start on the other peg tomorrow, but right now I'm trying to find out how to remove the hex bolt on he 3.6" pulley without having it turn when I loosen. Anyone?

Keving said he does this by holding the pulley with pulley puller and then removed the allen bolt while holding the pulley puller.
MardisGrasMax told me to put a thick leather belt around the pulley and put the whole setup upside down in a vice and loosen the allen bolt, unfortunately i dont have a vice here, in Alabama I do.

Yeah I was going to think about this, the best tool for this is the Craftsman STRAP wrench. If you break it, they will replace it. But highly doubt you will break it.
I think that strap wrench is like $20 at your local Sears for both. You want the larger one.
Hope this helps. I really think this is the best way since there is nothing metal on the strap wrench and you dont risk tearing up anything but the strap wrench with supposedly cant be broken and if you do, drive back to sears and get another one for free. Man only in AMERICA.

Hmm, I just got my answer from nymjyjay. (http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=165054) He says to use one of those nylon/rubber oil filter remover/gripper tools and a breaker bar to loosen the bolt having someone hold the gripper tool while the other loosens the he hex bolt with he breakr bar. What do you think? I'm going to try this tomorrow after I go purchase that tool.
