Reinstalled the V2 for the second time

After spending 4 hours last night I reinstalled the beast. I noticed how my install times are getting lower each time! LOL!
Here are some pics I took:

The V2 blower with 3.33" pulley
http://images.cardomain.com/installs...557_3_full.jpg

The mounting plate with some filing done. I had 3 thin washers previously but I didn't note from which posts they came from. I decided to evenly distribute them which was the right decision
http://images.cardomain.com/installs...557_4_full.jpg

The install site in the engine bay. Pretty dirty.
http://images.cardomain.com/installs...557_5_full.jpg

The Oil Drainback hose waiting to connect to the blower. I forgot to hook this up to the outlet underneath the blower before bolting it in. Good thing I positioned the hose clamps so that I could access them easier
http://images.cardomain.com/installs...557_6_full.jpg

Tightening down the bolts that hold the blower. I remembered to use Permatex for the bolts!
http://images.cardomain.com/installs...557_7_full.jpg

"Offering Up" to the engine block. I managed to slide the supercharger in without moving the fuse box
http://images.cardomain.com/installs...557_8_full.jpg

Tightening the Hex Bolt next to the Idler Pulley hole. This is the one that I had to pray to God that it would go in! You can see that I used the Craftsman screwdriver and put the Allen key in the hole where the screwdriver bits normally go in. Good ol' duct tape held it together
http://images.cardomain.com/installs...57_10_full.jpg

Using a stick to push the radiator hose out the way so the alternator bolt can go in
http://images.cardomain.com/installs...57_11_full.jpg

The V2 mounted!
http://images.cardomain.com/installs...57_12_full.jpg

DanNY's Idler and Tensioner Pulleys alongside Stillen's pulleys. Installing the Idler Pulley was the second worst after the Hex Bolt

I still have to tighten up the tensioner pulley as I still get some belt squeal now and then. It could be because of the rain.

Re: Reinstalled the V2 for the second time

Question is, how does it drive with the new pulley Dan?

Matt, it feels good so far but I haven't pushed it, due to scary thoughts of belt shredding! Mind you its been a month since I drove my baby!

You need to push it - the SC in a Maxima MUST be pushed wildly every day, or else it gets "sleepy".

Seriously - how do you like the smaller pulley?

"A boost a day keeps the blues away!"

Hard to tell at the moment...I babied it into work this morning...
Waiting for the rain to stop too

Had to pull over once to slightly tighten the tensioner pulley again...still squeals once in a while.

First reactions based on the butt-dyno are good...feel alot more oomph than before and this is while regular street driving....that V2 is so smoooth sounding now that I have to stand still to listen for it! I should tape a sound file for you guys.

Do you have any pictures of the other side of the alternator bolt? Specifically I'm looking to see if the alternator ground wire is connected there.

Thanks,

Thanks,
Sorry, I didn't take any pics on that side. With the intake pipe installed I can't even get a good shot in.
