VQ30DET powered maxima will be running again soon!

I ran into some problems with my DET I spun a rod bearing after 2 weeks. I will have it running again as soon as I get the new bearings. Also I did away with the TO4b and will now be running a t3/t4 55 trim hopefully it will spool up sooner than the 3.5k from the T04b.

Tilley - king of the low key Turbo

Harold - you open up his engine bay and it makes you want to shake your head a little.

His car definitely left me inspired

Thats pretty awsome. I wonder how much he spent to get that. 280 isn't that high thats about normal like the turbos at 4 psi. It just looks weird becuase the intake manfold and such. So is that the only sucessful engine swap into a forth gen.

he did a couple stuff to make it work..

check the PA Maxima site off my links

http://www.turbomaxima.com/modules.p...iewlink&cid=13

you might find some old threads with info when he was doing the work..

280 is excellent... not many engines put out 280 stock.. and this engine has been out for a while.. to the best of my knowledge the engine was about $1500... this is the only sucessfull "known" swap.. JWT has "claimed" to do it also..

Thats 280 with the turbo right? I don't think the engine is pushing out 280 alone is it? If it is, sing my up for one if its only 1500 dollars. I mean if you go but a turbo you can push out the same at 4 psi. I mean that engine has to have way stronger internals than ours though. I wonder if I cna find one online??

Online would be the place to find them. Also the internals are much better than the US VQ, they are meant to handle boost, I think that motor has a better top end as well.

lol, well I know there is a VE jspec which is supposedly 5 more hp, just like the j spec sr20 is only 5 more hp. We can get that and then just boost with TTZ internals, TTZ internals are the shiznit yo!
