I was on my way home from the NYC when the CEL suddenly comes on.. I'm like WTF? And I take it to autozone for the free diagnostic.
The code read that the car is running lean...

I'm scared to gun my car around now..

Actually let's assume you ran the SC w/o any fuel inrichment. Now you are forcing MORE air into the engine. Up to xxx psi, the stock ecu can handle it ie.. 20-25%. After that if you go wot or past xxx psi, the injectors will be on almost 100% of the time and just can't give the engine more fuel to compensate for the added air the sc is forcing in.

But you of course have the extra fuel management stuff in. SO, I would have to assume something is not working right w/ your fuel management. If you have the Vortech or any other boost referenced FMU, maybe the vacuum/boost line is not connected to the fmu unit. Or if you have the aux inline fuel pump, maybe that's not kicking in to provide the added fuel pressure when the boost rolls in?

I had that kick code kickout a few times when I was running the Aux Fuel pump the way it was supposed to be (Intermittent with boost)... After hooking it up fulltime (and now that I only use the walbro), the code never reappeared...

So, I should upgrade my fuel pump?

Not really what I meant... if you run the aux fuel pump full-time, your (lean X bank) problem will (PROBABLY) go away.

Hmm, I got the same lean code right after I put my SC in and someone mentioned using fuel injector cleaner since I haven't done so in how many ?K miles. I ran the tank until empty, poured in some Penzoil "Shogun" Import Fuel Injector Cleaner from a local Pep Boys or Advance Auto Parts store filled it up with about 3/4 of a full tank and reset the ecu. Never came back on since. (knock on wood) I guess the person who gave me this tip was right and I did have some dirty fuel injectors and now I'm glad I did this first before trying to look for new injectors.

I had the same thing before also - got it every week it seemed for awhile.

Tlaked to Shadow, and he gets the same code also, and he just resets it - neither of us had any problems.

On the Dyno, it hsowed I was pretty good except at the very tip of redline i was a little lean.

I then tuned it, and with the adjustable FMU I have (Cartech instead of Vortech), was able to richen it up at that point.'

haven't had the code since.

Moral of this story: It's probably only happening at very high RPM, and for a very short amount of time. Most likely, it's still within tolerances, unless you're hearing audible knock.

I wouldn't sweat it too much.
