Adjusting the idle speed

Hi guys!
When I was cleaning up my desk I happened to have found a printout of Andy's instructions on adjusting the idle speed.
I tried it yesterday but it didn't seem to correspond to Andy's notes. After disconnecting the sensor plug the RPM's did go up as he mentioned and down after 5 or so seconds but when I was turning the screw counterclockwise it didn't seem to reduce the speed. RPM was just over 1000 most of the time. Only a couple of instances did the RPM drop below 1000 but it seemed to remember to stay above 1000. The more I turned the screw the looser it felt and I thought that it might even pop out if I turned it even more.
I'm just wondering if this is because of having an SC?

Well to lower idle you want to turn clockwise or to the right. THe looser it gets the more air that might come through the IACV. The SC may magnify the change from the idle screw but i am not positive.

To the right? Andy's notes said counterclockwise. Oh well, I'll try again tonight! Thanks!

Hmm odd.. the blower alone shouldn't change anything : I've had weird idle issues too that have not yet gone away either How cold is the car when you're doing this?

It's been pretty mild here on the west coast, not freezing like T.O.

What issues are you dealing with?
