Question for the Turbo guys....

I am in the process of selling my max. The cars that I have been looking for have been 1st and 2nd gen Eclipses, and Talons (GSX and Tsi AWD of course). I beleive I may have found one that Im interested in, and wanted to post most of the mods it has, Im guessing any and all turbo experience on here may be of some help even though it is not a Maxima.

Heres the goods:

small ported 16g w/ 34mm wastegate flapper & buschur racing outlet elbow
3" Custom Intake
Hacked Mass Air w/ Cut Can + K&N Filter
Buschur Polished Upper Intercooler Pipe & Throttle Body Elbow
ported EVOIII exhaust manifold
ported 2g 02 housing (Tubular 02 housing w/ Dump Tube also, but not installed - too loud for my taste)
3" Buschur Racing TurboBack exhaust
Rebuilt 94 spec Trans w/ double cone 2nd syncros
94 Transfer Case
4 Bolt LSD rear end
Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump
Apexi S-AFC
RC Engineering 550cc fuel injectors
Greddy EGT gauge
Autometer Boost / Air Fuel gauges
HKS Type 0 Turbo Timer
Optima Red Top Battery
Clarion Head Unit
16" OZ F1 Cup Rims
Stainless Brake Lines + VGX pads
ACT 2600 Street Strip clutch
All top-line fluids

Let me know what you guys think, this car is a 90 GSX.

Is this one of the engines that have that "crank walk" problem? Is there a way to address this or reduce the likelyhood of it happening w/o tearing down the car?

nah, i think those are 2G's.

double syncro 2nd gear

all you need is a FMIC and a boost controller.

So Im guessing so far this car is pretty good, well I mean from what you guys can read about it. BTW it is second owner, and it was bought from an older woman (supposedly)

sounds pretty nice, but a couple things to keep in mind are firstly that a 16g is barely an upgrade for turbo eclipses, the BIG 16g is a better size but even 18g or 20g to be a large turbo upgrade.

beyond that, the transmission sounds good depending on exactly what went into the rebuild, this would be my biggest concern with this car..

DSM's are good engines if maintened and tuned properly, great for getting some good power with boost, but be careful with the tranny. and being a 1gen thats even better!

I did take a ride in the car, and well uhhh Wow is all I can say about it. Car had no lag, and was amazingly quick. The guy also told me he got to run it once and then is when the tranny went, he since rebuilt it and retuned the SAFC. That day he only ran a 13.4. He pretty much gurantess the car to be a mid-high 12s with proper tuning and a datalogger. Cosmeticaly the car is perfect and I just love the turbo/AWD combo
