BOV inquiry - Blitz Dual Drive

I wanted to ask about the use of the BOV on the pressure pipe flange...I am looking to make certain the flange is sealed the right way against the metal gasket that comes with it...

I considered a resonable bead of silicone but thought it wise/prudent to ask those who may have asked before...looking thru old threads as we speak...if I find an answer I will remove this post for brevity sake.

Somebody tell me if I'm wrong, but the metal ring that comes with the BOV is for welding on to the intake pipe if your pipe does not already have provisions for mounting the BOV. The Stillen SC kit comes with a mounting flange already the correct size to accept a Blitz BOV, so you don't need the ring. All you need to use is the blue gasket. Some silicon sealer is probably a good thing.

No sealant is necessary... just use the gasket... unless your flange is tweaked.

If Arlan says that you may want to double check it

just install it with the blue gasket it comes with. My blue gasket was shot so I traced it with some exhaust manifold gasket just make sure you get the rear allen wrench and thread both bolts all the way in prior to tightening them. The rear is very tricky I broke a piece of allen wrench and tightened it using a adjustable wrench.

ouch...try to keep the gloves up...I already sealed it all together with silicon so if I determine it leaks when (looking for bubbles around the wet flange area) it goes on I will remove the islver flange and reseal with just the gasket.

thanks Jaime, I have those pics in my stack of GTK stuff.
