How much HP does 1 PSI Equal???

Just curious, I heard 1 PSI from a turbo = 10 ( apporx ) WHP

Is that correct?

Or is there such a calculation?

What about a SC??

Thanks

for SC....probably 9whp per psi if the exhaust is stock. check out The New CLIMAX's dyno on boostedmaximas.com. He get 242 with stock y pipe.

I am getting about 10whp/psi with ypipe, untuned, stock cat-back.

Don't forget diminishing returns. The more you turn up the boost, the less hp that extra psi will be.

Does that apply accors the boar to all turbo's?

For example, is there a "best" PSI for a t3/t4 and a different "best" PSI for a TO4?

From what I've learned yes. The different turbos have different efficiencies, so you have to look at the compressor maps.
Here's the maps for some Turbonetics turbos

sc puts down at the wheels about 12 hp and 8/ft lbs of tq at the wheels per one psi.

I was talking to my friend about this tonight actually, to me it seems like about 15whp / psi on the turbo vehicles.

depends on the turbo, the type that is, same thing with the supercharger, and also if you look at it with or without the intercooler, those things make the most difference.
