Coolant/Radiator Problem

This morning when I got to work I popped the hood because I though I had a belt jump a rib (which is a whole nother issue). In doing so I noticed a lot of what I thought was smoke pouring out from under the hood. Come to find out that there was coolant all over the top of the radiator. I though my new overflow came loose.

Got home and noticed the same thing. Took the hose off, tightened it. Went out for a short trip to test the boost (belt re-aligned) and more leaking coolant when I got home.

It appears to be coming from the radiator cap. I'm assuming that the overflow system isn't working, and causing it to find its way out the cap. There was a slight kink in the hose, and I assume that was blocking the line and causing the leak....

I undid the zip-ties holding the left end of the hose in the tight loop...so we'll see later.

Anything else it could be? I'm using 5/16" fuel hose that came with the SC kit.

Your pics seems to indicate it's coming from the cap/neck junction... Maybe you could "borrow" someones radiator cap or simply replace it for $12 or so.

shows a very tight bend in the hose that would cause pressure to build up, resulting in a leak at the hose fitting under the radiator cap. Unkink the hose and I bet your problem goes away.

I did that last night. We'll see how it goes today. I noticed a little steam this morning, but I think that may have been crap left on the heat sheild for the header. No noticable leak from the filler neck...

Appears that this fixed the problem. There is still old coolant burning off (I should wash it all off...), but there doesn't appear to be anymore leaks.
