one more thing, that tensioner pulley has a spacer that holds it in place with a small lip, is that on there and is that washer behind in front of the bracket to space it?
if not then it is not installed properly
Is this the tensioner on an SC setup?
Reason I ask is, the shop that's removing my SC, says the stock tensioner pulley won't fit on the rod, like it's missing a spacer or bearing. I asked them to check with Nissan for the part, but that might add days to the repair. Do you have a picture of the spacer with the lip?
Right now, they have the SC polyurethane idler pulley installed where the stock metal tensioner pulley goes. It looks like it fits ok, I'm just worried it will melt. However, since running the belt for the accessories does generate as much heat and strain as running it on the SC, I think the polyurethane pulley should be ok. WHat do you guys think?
Thanks,

I've mentioned before that the belt will melt first before the poly pulley will. What I originally thought was my pulley melting was actually melted bits of the belt stuck to the pulley. I scraped the melted bumps off and the pulley was back to normal.

The poly pulley will be ok. I had to swap out the aluminum tensioner pulley for the poly pulley at the onset of winter due to belt slippage. I'll swap it out again when the weather warms up and stays that way.

did you loose the bolt before adjusting the tension?

Cool, I told the mechanic to leave the poly pulley in the stock belt setup. I'm having the SC removed, but the mechanic can't get the stock metal tensioner pulley to fit, so he installed the poly pulley from the SC kit instead.

That's probably because of the oil line feed plate interfering with the tension pulley setup.
