Idle problems

HELP

Ok my car holds a good idle most of the time. But then it will drop down to 400-500 in P or N & pop back up to 900-1000. With the radio and/or a/c on & off.
When I drive the car it sputters at normal driving out of the light, but if I get on it...No problem it boost with no problem.
The problem only happens when I am not getting on it. I am not sure if it is running out of gas or getting too much.

Any ideas would be great.

I don't know. Thomas is stumped also.
I raced a silver jetta yesterday and he was beeting me because I would press the gas alittle and it just wouldn't go for about 3-4 block. It even died when i got to the stop light. Then my car decided to run right and i spanked him.
He thought I set him up for a beating...it seemed like it but I really couldn't go.

hmm.... what's your vacuum like... i could be COMPLETELY wrong... but it seems like fuel is just getting dumped in if it's bogging like that...

Or... what about your tranny?... Occasionally mine will get "lost" and fumbles to find gears.... I hope this isn't the case..

Is your EGT guage hooked up yet?

Tranny is fine, I haven't had any problems. Except it took it 10-15 sec to engae into rev the other morning...it was cold.

I'm not sure but it sounds like the problem I have too.....when I'm parked and rev my car my idle drops and stalls and my car shuts off.....I'm not sure if it's my idle's not set right or my Bov is too loose.....when my car's on drive it drives like normal without stalling or anything.....
